The Better Birthday Club

The M Bar C Ranch and The Forgotten Children’s Fund created The Better Birthday Club in October of 2003, and recruited Volunteer Vicki Harvey to lead this program.

The goal of The Better Birthday Club is to provide a “Happy Birthday” to children in need, and show them that their community cares about them. Vicki and her team of volunteers work with local social service agencies to help identify children who are most in need.  These  agencies such as Island County Health Department,  The Opportunity Council, Family Resource Center, DSHS, Child Protective Services, Compass Health and The Readiness to Learn Program contact Vickie with the names of children that they believe would be a good candidate for a Better Birthday Club gift.

With donations from our community and the help of volunteers, we’re doing what we can to make these childrens’ special day a little bit brighter.  Your support helps restore hope and self-esteem to children who have been abused or neglected and to families, who for various reasons are unable to make ends meet.
