What's New
The Ranch Garden
New in 2008 is our beautiful Ranch Garden, designed by Volunteer Becky Loomis, and created by Becky and a team of our dedicated volunteers. The goal of the Ranch Garden is to encourage our kids to learn more about horticulture and where their food comes from. During our programs, kids will be able to visit the garden, plant seeds, and see how fun growing and eating veggies can be.
Our Ranch cook Joe Pine has been known to raid the garden and cook up some of those yummy veggies for hungry buckaroos!
The New Arena
Thanks to a generous grant, Head Honcho Bill O’Brien and his team of contractors have completed a beautiful new indoor riding arena. The arena will allow the M-Bar-C to conduct its programs even during inclement weather. The arena and new tack room areas will not only serve as a safe riding area for the kids, but will also provide a multi-use facility. Our 2008 Auction was a huge success, and the new area provided a perfect venue.
The New Middle Barn
Our new "middle barn" is now complete. This 50' by 24' structure is utilized as a hay barn, equipment storage building and the epicenter for our volunteers as they actively participate in our winter feeding program. This beautiful facility which was funded by the Forgotten Children's Fund also provides protection from the weather for the horses, and a clean and dry are for the farriers and veterinarians to work. Thank you FCF for this wonderful new addition to our Ranch!
